The line between success and failure in this world is a tight one, so Hawkins lives by a code that’s been handed down from Vaudeville, Big Apple stages, and on to Tinsel Town — give the people their money’s worth.

“Engaging entertainment,” she says is at the heart of her act. “In particular, ensuring that one is always keeping the audience in mind. And entertainment can be dazzling, terrifying, provocative, or simply visually compelling. I try to develop acts and productions that I’d like to see, to engage with them while I’m on stage.”
